Neutrino: A particle so small that trillions of them pass through your body every minute, and are almost undetectable.
Neutrino Records: A musical collective so small we can hold events with hundreds of beats that pass through your body every minute... and are almost undetectable :)

  • In the process of archiving cassettes, I've come across several damaged ones that have needed some repair to get working correctly. Since I was going through the process anyway, I thought I'd make a YouTube video to show you how to fix a broken tape should you have one. If you've got a broken tape you'd like to hear again, send it to me and I'll fix it and give you a nice digital copy. Whatever you do, DON'T THROW IT AWAY!!!

    May 19, 2010:
  • The Mixtape Archive Project has begun. I'll be reaching into my duffel bag full of mixtapes from 1995-2005 to make digital archival copies of them before the magnetic tape degrades and these rare gems are lost forever. I'll be making high quality recordings, processing out some of the tape noise, and posteng them in lossless FLAC and compressed OGG and MP3 formats. Photos of the original tapes will be added once I can setup a proper lightbox. If you have any mixtapes you're willing to donate to the project, PLEASE send an email to mixtapes@neutrinorecords.com.

The first one out of the bag is a live set by Simply Jeff at Groove Tech in Seattle, WA recorded on 9-29-2000. Listen and download on the Mixtape Archive page.

Don't let your favorite old mixtapes rot in a box in your garage, the magnetic media will degrade over time whether you play them or not. Help me preserve the history of our music by sending them in to be archived. A postage paid mailer can be sent to you if needed.
